Consent Agenda

The Board approved several ordinances related to cannabis businesses, street tree maintenance, and a development agreement for Market and Colton Streets.

The Board considered and approved several items under the consent agenda. This included Ordinance No. 246-17, which amends business and tax regulations and health codes related to permit, license, and inspection fees for cannabis businesses, including fee waivers for Equity Applicants. They also approved Ordinance No. 245-17, amending the Public Works Code to implement Charter Section 16.129 regarding city maintenance of street trees. General Plan Amendment 171134 related to 1629 Market Street, Planning Code and Zoning Map amendment 170938 for the same location, and Development Agreement 170939 with Strada Brady, LLC for the Market and Colton Streets project, including affordable housing and open spaces, were also approved.

The Board approved an ordinance requiring permits for testing autonomous delivery devices on sidewalks.

Ordinance No. 244-17 was considered and finally passed. This ordinance amends the Public Works Code to require a permit for the testing of autonomous delivery devices on sidewalks and sets rules governing their operation. It also amends the Public Works Code and Police Code to provide administrative, civil, and criminal penalties for the unlawful operation of such devices.

The Board approved resolutions related to airport concession leases, energy efficiency grants, victim compensation, airport museum gifts, and a park department scholarship program.
