The MOU is slated to be effective from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024. After inquiring if anyone wished to address the Board, and receiving no speakers, President Walton closed public comment. The ordinance was then PASSED ON FIRST READING by a vote of 9 ayes (Chan, Mandelman, Mar, Melgar, Peskin, Preston, Ronen, Safai, Walton) with 2 excused (Dorsey, Stefani).

Supervisor Preston requested to be excused from voting on File No. 220738 due to a potential conflict of interest, a request that was granted. The resolution pertained to rescinding Resolution No. 225-22, which had initially approved a historical property contract between the Leah Culver Revocable Trust (owner of 714 Steiner Street) and the City and County of San Francisco.
